I have got my new Tablet PC last thursday from HP.  Awesome to use. Im mostly engaged in that only. Learning more about the Tablet functionality.

Well, battery is really great. That too with WLAN enabled, im getting nearly 5 hours!! Also the Core 2 Duo is doing great job.

Please wait for a week or two for my review on this new hp TC4400.

Multi Touch Interaction Technology#

Multi Touch Interaction Technology

I have heard of Multi Touch Technology a long back, when I started reading about Tablet PC & Handhelds. A cool video, which shows a Professor (Jefferson Y. Han) using a device that has Multi Touch Interaction Technology. Read more on this.

How it will be ? If we get such a device infront of us in the office instead of 17" LCD, a mouse and a Keyboard. Just think of those Fiction movies....

Im expecting some Tablet Manufacturers to use this in their Tablet, so that my next Tablet PC will be of this type!!

Ordered a HP tc4400 Tablet PC#

Ordered a HP tc4400 Tablet PC

hp tc4400

I have ordered a hp Tablet PC tc4400 yesterday. After Vasanth showcased his Tablet PC in his blog, my interest towards the Tablet PC has gone out of my control !And I started reading more about it. He was having Tecra M4, and later Duo Core version of the same was introduced with the name M7.  So I chose Tecra M7 & hp TC4400 to decide upon.

Other than the 12.1" display & lacking of internal optical drive hp TC4400 is similar to Toshiba Tecra M7. Im least bothered about the missing internal Drive, the reason is am not using it frequently, and its nearly a month I used my current optical Drive! Also I prefer 12.1" display for its compact size & Benq 17" will serve my need for a bigger display. Many a times I had a second thought about Tecra M7. Even in October when was in London, I thought of buying it there, but it was too costly (nearly 50% over priced than US) Likewise, something or the other went wrong in ordering that!

So I concluded my messy mind for a HP tc4400.

And yesterday, I have ordered it at last!

The specification for the same is here  :

OS Windows XP Tablet PC 2005 Edition - VISTA not available :-(
 Processor Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7200 ( 2 GHz with 4MB L2 cache)
RAM DDR2 -512MB - My Sailor sibling Praveen will get me (2 x 1GB) from Singapore /  Hong Kong
 HDD 80GB - SATA (I may replace with 200 GB SATA@7200 )
Display 12.1 inch XGA with outdoor viewable display with digitizer (1024 x 768 resolution and 16 M colors) with ambient light sensor
Motherboard Chipset Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset with 667 MHz FSB
Inputs Full-sized keyboard; Enhanced dual pointing devices (touchpad and point stick) with scroll zone, Wacom digital eraser pen with tether and clip
 Wireless Technology(s) Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945 a/b/g  & hp Bluetooth™ 2.0
 Ethernet / Modem Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit (10/100/1000 NIC), 56 K v.92 modem
 Battery 6-cell (55 WHr) Lithium-Ion primary battery
 Weight 2 .08 Kg
 Dimensions 34.3 mm [at front] x 285 mm x 235 mm (1.35 inches [at front] x 11.22 inches x 9.25 inches)
Security HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor, TPM Embedded Security Chip v1.2

Today Im buying a IDE to USB cable, which is my idea for Optical Drive replacement!

Though I have used many Notebooks, but not owned anything yet (yesterday) ! So my first Notebook is a real eNotebook where I can write!! ;-)
